Make yourself at home in our family garden
Made for you...
Our family garden is different to most because it was made for you, the visitor, rather than for us, the family...
Created as a visitor attraction and opened as such in 1989, we have welcomed thousands of visitors to our 5 acre garden over the last 30+ years. We heartily invite you to enjoy Cae Hir in whichever way makes you happiest: soak up the sun on the lawns, amble, meander and enjoy the views as they open up before you, or maybe read a book in a shady corner. You could even bring your laptop and use our free wifi to get some work done in peaceful surroundings. Whatever you choose to do, our garden is your garden for as long as you choose to stay.
Book online now or simply show up - the choice is yours.
Please be aware that our garden sits at the base of the Cambrian Mountains, and as such trails up a hill.
About half the garden is either gently undulating or on a gentle slope, the rest is considered quite steep;
please be aware of this before your visit.

Dogs
Dogs with well behaved owners are welcome in the garden! Please keep dogs on leads at all times, and clean up after them if needed. We have a dedicated dog mess bin for this purpose, at the garden entrance. Fresh water is always available in the nursery area.
Children
Seeing our young visitors enjoy themselves is wonderful, but sometimes their energy can result in a little mayhem! We kindly ask that your kids do not:
-
throw stones in the ponds
-
walk on the flower beds
-
pull leaves/twigs off our trees!
These 3 rules are very important to us, so thank you.
Less Abled Visitors
The natural lie of the land means the garden is unfortunately not easily accessible for wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Walking stick and frame users may manage about half the garden.
(NB: Being in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains parts of the garden are steep.)
Tearoom & Nursery
Our entry fee is only applicable to visiting the garden. Entry to the tearoom and nursery is free of charge, and you are welcome to come and browse, enjoy a cuppa and soak up the sun on our patio for as long as you like without any pressure to visit the garden.
Wifi
We offer FREE wifi to our visitors, accessible from Y Sied, our patio and plant sales area and into the garden. So whether you want to upload your garden pics to instagram or get some work done in peaceful surroundings, you're catered for!
