Welcome to Cae Hir

Visit one of Wales' best loved gardens...
...nestled in the foothills of the ancient and glorious Cambrian Mountains and only 8 miles from Cardigan Bay's stunning coastline
COVID-19: Due to ongoing restrictions on the care provision available to our dad because of covid-19 we, as a family, need to take on this role ourselves. As a result we will be unable to open the garden for the remainder of the 2020 season. We hope to see you during 2021, and in the meantime please stay safe and take care. Thank you for your interest in Cae Hir!
We are incredibly proud to have been voted Wales' 2nd Best Garden 2019/20 by readers of Garden News magazine - a huge thank you to everyone who voted for us !
Cae Hir can be visited daily throughout the season from April 1st to the end of October. Sitting in a relatively cold part of the local area, the garden tends to be late, and so can usually be seen in it's bare-bone form at Easter time. It can then be enjoyed in full bloom through the later spring and summer months, and in all its autumnal glory through October. We strongly recommend you wear walking boots or wellies when visiting, as our lawns are rarely 100% dry!
What our Visitors say...
Fabulous garden, wonderful family, amazing cream tea. What more could you want on a Sunday afternoon!
What a truly magnificent garden with a lovely variety of trees and plants so beautifully landscaped. I have not seen a garden quite like it anywhere.
The most imaginative garden I have ever seen! Wonderful.
You could NOT do better, it is superb.
